From the ground up, the Solberg Family Home was designed to deliver complete year-round climate comfort throughout. Winters are warmed at the foot-level utilizing the steady, even heat of in-floor radiant sub-flooring, while summers are gently cooled with the flow of conditioned air falling from ceiling mounted micro-ducts positioned high overhead.
Location
Nestled within 60 acres of majestic oak and pine, with walking and golf car trails throughout, the Solberg Family Home is a unique blend of relaxing seclusion coupled with a conveniently close proximity to Manistee. We are across the street from Munson Manistee Medical Center on Kemmer Road, between Meijer and Blacker Airport just north of town. (See map on last page)

This includes those who need care and companionship in a family setting that features pets and farm animals, children and adults, and friends and extended family. We host various parties, holiday meals and other celebrations, including special events like weddings and anniversaries and cast parties. A lot of life is happening here at the Solberg Family Home!

OUR VISION
The mission of the Solberg Family Home is to assist families in the care of their elderly, in a bright and airy, spacious home setting, with staff that strive daily to elevate the dignity and well-being of all residents.
We consider those who chose to reside with us part of our family. What does that look like? We integrate them into our daily life. They go with us, to the store, to church, to run errands, to childrens' events and concerts, on fall color tours, and other places we go. We accompany them to doctors appointments, and other locations they may need or want to go. In short, we enjoy their company, and likewise we offer our time and presence with them.
Moreover, food and eating is a significant family event. At the Solberg Family Home it is a time of telling stories of the day and sharing ideas and concerns, so we are intentional about making an effort to sit down together and enjoy meals and fellowship with one another.
In conclusion, the use of assisted living is rarely a preference, but rather for many it just becomes a sudden reality. Given this reality, though, you can choose the Solberg Family Home as your preference to ensure that the transition- from independent to assisted living- is a safe, smooth and enjoyable experience.
